All MouthWorks groups are run by qualified Allied Health Staff and are overseen by our Clinical Managers.

Play and Learn Social (PALS) Skills

Give your child a social boost with our PALS group! Join in small group sessions to help your little one make and keep friends at school.

Suitable for kids aged 4-6 years, this tailored program targets skills like:

  • starting friendships,
  • how friends talk together,
  • how to play together, and
  • how to fix your playtime up if it all goes wrong.

Social Thinking

Social skills are an important part of everyday life. Using the core Social Thinking concepts and methodology developed by Michelle Garcia-Winner, join us for one of our social skills groups targeted at different age groups.
Either session to learn practical skills tailored specifically for tweens or adolescents:
  • interpreting body language
  • perspective taking
  • working together in a group
  • flexible thinking
  • reacting apporpriately to problems
  • understanding social expectations

When: Once a week
Duration: 45 minutes
Cost: $42 per session

Music Therapy

Give your toddler or pre-schooler the opportunity to socialise with peers in a fun and safe environment.

We are now offering early childhood Music Therapy groups, led by a Registered Music Therapist.

Using familiar songs, instrumental play and movement to music, your little ones will learn valuable skills such as turn-taking, sharing, listening and regulating emotions.

Sessions will also focus on building confidence, fine motor and early literacy skills.

Gross Motor Skills

Gross motor skills involve the larger muscles of the body, commonly used in activities such as jumping, catching and throwing a ball, climbing stairs and getting up and down from the ground. Gross motor skills has a direct influence on our stability and execution of fine motor skills. This group is targeted towards
  • balance,
  • endurance,
  • strength and coordination skills.

Fine Motor Skills

Give your child the opportunity to work with their hands!


Join one of our sessions that help children tackle fine motor skills like:

  • using pencils, scissors
  • construction with blocks
  • doing up buttons
  • opening lunch boxes

When: Fridays fortnightly @ 3:30 p.m.
Duration: 60 minutes
Cost: $52.50 per session

Emotional Regulation (Zones of Regulation)

Give your toddler or pre-schooler the opportunity to socialise with peers in a fun and safe environment.

LEGO Club

Take a dash of social skills, add learning how to make friends and working as part of a group, and you have LEGO Club!

Suitable for kids aged 6+ years, the activities in this club help these skills:

  • learning to take turns
  • sharing
  • working together as a group
  • listening skills
  • conversational skills

Messy Play

Give your toddler or pre-schooler the opportunity to experiment with different sensory experiences.


Messy Play focuses on sensory integration of different texture, sounds, and smell. Oh, and having fun!

When: Fridays fortnightly @ 3:30 p.m.
Duration: 60 minutes
Cost: $52.50 per session
