Early Intervention Service

MouthWorks is an NDIS registered Early Childhood Intervention Provider.  Our ECEI team consists of a Speech Pathologist, Occupational Therapist and Dietitian.  Together we will work with you to create a care plan for your child.

The NDIS Program for children aged 0 to 6 years is known as the Early Childhood Early Intervention (ECEI) approach. The ECEI program provides access to services for children with a developmental delay or disability.

MouthWorks is one of the few NDIS Registered ECEI Providers in Tasmania.  Our approach to the ECEI program brings our experienced team of health care professionals together to provide a comprehensive and personalised care plan for your child.
After initial assessment, our team will allocate the most appropriate therapist for your child and will arrange a program to be followed by that therapist. Our team will make contact with you every 6 months to check your progress and tweak your child's program.

Meet our Specialist Team

Speech Pathology

We will gauge your child's ability to communicate and work with you on exercises and therapy to bring about long lasting improvements.
Your child will feel more confident when speaking with you and their peers.  Improved self confidence will mean that making friends and fitting in socially will come more naturally to them.

Occupational TherapY

Working closely with your child we will measure their gross and fine motor skill abilities then create a therapy plan to help give them back control of their body.
Personalised therapy combined with special exercises will teach them how to regulate behaviour and emotions, and help them function more independently in everyday life.

Working with you we can understand your child's relationship with food. How wide a range of foods they eat, how their eating habits effect their behaviours and the relationship between any medications they are taking with their appetite and more.
With the right adjustments and a balanced diet the body will feel better and your child will feel happier.   Having a healthy diet will bring balance back into your child's life.
